MErlin

pablo

Yes, that’s her real name.

MERLIN moved back and forth between Albania and Germany with her family before they finally settled in Boston when she was 7 years old. Between the language barrier and feeling like a social outcast, music was the one constant she held onto in every new home. She began to write poems and songs, and even used music to learn English. She was drawn to artists like Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, and Paramore growing up, and recalls the Tina Turner and Michael Jackson CDs from the collection her parents packed to bring to the States.

Ten years ago, a kidney transplant altered my life's course, shifting it from a solitary voyage to a communal narrative. As a suburban husband, kidney transplant recipient, and devoted father to two furry friends, I've embraced a newfound appreciation for life's twists and turns. The Pablo's House Podcast serves as a sanctuary for storytellers of all stripes, where personal trials metamorphose into universal truths that unite us. Through this platform, my aim is not just to recount my own journey but to illuminate our collective tale, beckoning you to join me in crafting a mosaic of shared experiences. Together, let's delve into the profound impact of my transplant odyssey and uncover the threads that bind us all.
